Richard Dick wins Lifetime Achievement award
Richard Dick, Executive Chairman of Lucy Group, has won the Lifetime of Achievement award at this year’s Thames Valley Business & Community Awards held on Friday 28th February 2025 at The Hilton, Reading, Berkshire.
Launched in 2018, the Thames Valley Business & Community Awards highlight and recognise entrepreneurs, businesses, charities and community figures from the region who are changing their industries, the economy and society in original and positive ways.
The Lifetime of Achievement award is for a unique individual who is recognised universally as having made an outstanding contribution to the region in his or her area of activity.
Over the past 35 years, Richard has successfully grown Lucy Group revenue from £27 million to over £400 million and Profit Before Tax from £3 million to over £75 million. Now in his seventies, he continues to work full-time, having transformed Lucy Group into a global leader in the electric infrastructure sector. The company operates in 12 countries across 5 continents, trades in 60 countries, and employs around 2,000 people.
Lucy Electric was shortlisted in the ‘Business of the Year’, ‘Employer of the Year’ , ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Community’ and ‘Business Leader of the Year’ categories.
