Lucy Middle East take part in Walk for Education 2019
Lucy Middle East once again took part in Dubai’s Walk for Education on 15th February. Organised by Dubai Cares (part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Initiatives), this was the 10th anniversary of the organisation’s annual event.
This year’s walk attracted 15,000 participants of all ages and nationalities, who took 4,000 steps (3km) in solidarity with millions of children in developing countries who walk long distances every day to get to school.
Through this initiative, Dubai Cares is rallying the community to help reduce the burden of this journey and make it safer for children. Walk for Education supports Dubai Cares’ efforts to provide quality education to children and young people and help them realise their dreams and aspirations.
The walk, which was widely supported by members of the UAE community, was complemented by a family-friendly event and fun-filled activities catering for all ages. This is the third year running that Lucy Employees and their families have taken part in this fantastic cause. Fatima said “a big thanks to everyone for choosing to spend your weekend supporting this noble cause”
