Lucy Electric Thame Sponsors Lord Williams Fun Run
Lucy Electric Thame is always looking for ways to help out the local high school, Lord Williams. This year we sponsored the Fun Run at Lord Williams’s School. The event, which is the school’s biggest fundraiser of the year, was attended by UK BBC Radio 2 presenter, Ken Bruce, who kicked off the race at just after 1.00pm. Runners took the off-road route across the upper school field and had to navigate their way around various obstacles including tyres, hay bales, a cargo net and a colour station where they were pelted with paint as they passed.
The Lord Williams’s School Parent Teacher Association raised £4,000 from the event, which will help fund essential equipment to support the children’s learning.
The school said “a huge thank you must go to the LWS school team, including staff who ran on the day or helped by volunteering. Also, to local businesses Lucy Electric Thame, TNS and iPad sponsor Abbey Business Interiors, for their generosity in donating and sponsoring items – we simply couldn’t have put on this event without you.”
