Lucy Raises Money for MacMillan Cancer Support
All five Lucy UK based companies joined together recently to support one common cause – raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that offers emotional, physical and financial support from the moment you’re diagnosed.
Much baking ensued with tables in each site bursting with sweet treats and some savoury snacks too. Lucy Electric, Lucy Castings, Lucy Zodion, Lucy Real Estate and Group all got their people together to raise money for this important cause.
Lucy Electric Thame again supported the Macmillan this year and Thame employees enthusiastically took part. The amount of cake made and bought was phenomenal – with cakes still being bought and consumed well into the following week. Lucy Electric Banbury Lucy Castings and Lucy Electric Gridkey also took part in our Macmillan coffee mornings on their own sites. Both did extremely well. Banbury’s 20 employees raised an amazing £91 with Gridkey’s seven employees raising an additional £30 for Macmillan and Castings £60.
Lucy Zodion Ltd also participated in the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, with a Yorkshire ‘Bake Off’ theme raising an impressive £188 selling home bakes, generously provided by staff members.
