The National Association of the Blind school in Nasik helps children with visual impairments and other complex disabilities, such as deafness and brain injuries that affect mobility.
The school’s existing bus had broken down beyond repair, leaving vulnerable children without a safe and practical way to get to school. The result was that many stopped attending. The new donated bus, by Lucy Electric, has been specially modified to make it safe for the disabled children, who will again be collected to and from home, enabling them to continue their education and lead fulfilled lives.
