Lucy Electric India Donate Beds to Local Hospital
With Covid-19 putting pressure on healthcare around the world and in many cases redirecting the provision of hospital essentials, Lucy Electric India, also known as LEI, decided to support a local hospital.
LEI were contacted by the Amdad Industries and Manufacturers Association who requested support to replenish supplies at the local municipal hospital, which is used by poor and underprivileged patients. The shortages were so acute that LEI purchased 500 beds for the Covid Centre, 500 mattresses, pillows, bed sheets, duvet sets, duvets and saline stands.
These provisions will go a long way to helping the most vulnerable in the community and providing much needed medical assistance to Covid patients.
Vaccination drive in LEI
Colleagues in LEI were also relieved and delighted to be given the chance to have a Covid vaccination in the local hospital in Nashik. The first dose was administered to staff and their families in June and the second dose on 1st October.
Thank you to all the staff which worked so hard to organise the vaccination drive and make it such a success.
